Oil & Gas Asia (OGA) 2026 is positioning Kuala Lumpur as the central marketplace for Southeast Asia’s expanding energy sector. Scheduled for 2–4 September, the event aims to serve as a hub for the region’s growth, uniting a diverse range of stakeholders from across the globe.
Officials project that Southeast Asia will account for nearly one-fifth of global energy demand growth by 2035. OGA 2026 will host more than 30,000 industry professionals and 2,000 participating brands, with representatives from over 80 countries expected to attend. The previous edition facilitated more than USD42 million in business deals, demonstrating how conversations at the event translate into tangible commercial outcomes.

The event features country pavilions from Australia, China, Germany, India, Italy, Singapore, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. These displays will showcase technologies, engineering expertise, and solutions spanning upstream, midstream, and downstream operations, along with digitalisation and emerging energy technologies. Despite volatile market conditions, the continued expansion of OGA reinforces the necessity of B2B platforms in connecting businesses to new markets.
Connecting Policy, Leadership, and Innovation
The 22nd edition of the event, held under the theme “Powering Progress, Shaping Tomorrow,” emphasizes meaningful connections. This year’s enhanced networking campaign is designed to make every interaction more rewarding, creating more ways for the energy community to engage and exchange insights. The gathering brings together policymakers, energy companies, engineering firms, technology providers, investors, and solution partners on a single platform.
A full knowledge programme anchors the event, featuring SPEAK OGA, EIC Connect OGA, and MOGSEC. SPEAK OGA is the flagship free-to-attend knowledge-sharing platform, while EIC Connect OGA, organised in partnership with the Energy Industries Council, offers global business perspectives through market intelligence and project insights. Co-located with OGA and held in partnership with the Malaysian Oil, Gas & Energy Services Council (MOGSC), MOGSEC focuses on championing Malaysia’s OGSE sector and strengthening capabilities in a competitive setting.

The C-Suite Series under SPEAK OGA will center leadership stories, with senior industry figures sharing the defining moments and challenges that have shaped their journeys. While these events provide a structured environment for discussion, the value of such gatherings often lies in the spontaneous exchanges that occur outside the scheduled sessions. A business might secure a multi-million dollar contract during a coffee break, or a startup could find its first major investor in the exhibit hall. This unpredictable nature of in-person trade shows means that the potential for serendipitous discovery remains one of the strongest arguments for returning to Kuala Lumpur next year.
OGA 2026 is organised by Informa Markets Malaysia and supported by PETRONAS as corporate partner, with Malaysia Petroleum Resources Corporation (MPRC) serving as the National OGSE Development Partner. Visitor registration is now open, inviting industry professionals to join the conversations shaping the region’s energy future.
